Swallowing cum: knowing everything about oral ejaculation
We often hear misconceptions about oral ejaculation and swallowing sperm. This practice, which is not dangerous, can indeed intrigue at first sight. Can we take sperm, and if so, what are its effects and what taste does it have?
What is sperm?
Sperm is the viscous liquid that is expelled from the penis during male ejaculation. The latter may be due to manual stimulation such as masturbation, fellatio or penetration. The male reproductive sex organs secrete sperm before being stored in the testes.
It is in this fluid, produced by a man from puberty that the spermatozoa are contained, which serve to fertilize the oocyte of the woman. Sperm is mainly composed of water, spermatozoa (which however represent only 1% of the composition), but also hormones, neurotransmitters or endorphins. Finally, sperm contains several nutrients beneficial to the body.
Can we swallow sperm?
There is a priori no danger in swallowing sperm, following an ejaculation. This practice, called oral ejaculation, is for the man to ejaculate in the mouth of his or her partner before he or she swallows sperm.
This can be as a result of a blowjob or masturbation. It must be borne in mind; however, that like blood, sperm is one of the fluids that allows the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases and infections. The only way to protect yourself from these infections is the condom. Thus, if you are unsure of your partner's situation regarding his or her screening, defend yourself. Similarly, be sure of good hygiene: sperm can also transmit viruses such as herpes.
Does semen have health effects?
Sperm is a nutritionally valuable liquid for health. Indeed, it contains several nutrients beneficial for the body. It is possible to swallow semen during sexual intercourse.
Sperm contains especially vitamin C and B12, as well as proteins with antibacterial properties. It is also rich in minerals such as potassium or magnesium. The proportions of these nutrients, however, change according to the age and state of health of the individual and his sperm.
What is the taste of sperm?
The diet influences the taste and smell of sperm. Thus, some fruits such as orange or grapefruit, and some plants like mint can slightly modify its flavor. Similarly, products of animal origin (meat, milk, eggs, etc.) increase its acidity and give it a stronger smell.
However, it remains difficult to define the taste of semen precisely. Some will say that they find it slightly salty, like sweat, others somewhat acidic. Overall, sperm does not have a strong taste, and the amount swallowed during oral ejaculation is lower, which increases the difficulty to define a particular flavor.
How does an oral ejaculation take place?
Ejaculation happens in several times. When the orgasm arrives, the man feels it in him and reaches what is called the point of no return: ejaculation is imminent and irreversible. The sperm is then expelled by saccade, in several small jets, which are accompanied by contractions for the man. These jets contain between 0.5 and 1 ml of sperm.
The amount is relatively low, and in the context of oral ejaculation, so it is not possible to have "too much" in the mouth. Indeed, the average amount of sperm ejected after 2 or 3 days of abstinence (that is to say without any ejaculation) is 2 to 5 ml (this quantity decreases however with age or because of specific pathologies). Regarding consistency, sperm is a viscous and sticky liquid. In case of frequent ejaculation, however, it becomes more liquid and less opaque.
